Koro Goes to England

父さんの転勤で、１９８９年から８年半、ボクもイギリスに住んだんだよ。 イギリスではボクも母さんと一緒に電車やバス、タクシーに自由に乗れたし、父さんと母さんだけで旅行するときは近くの犬のホテルに預けられたけど、そこでは１日４回お散歩に連れて行ってくれたし、毛布は毎日新しいのに取り替えてくれたし、走り回れる庭付きの小屋に泊まって寝る前にはお姉ちゃんがお話しながらブラッシングしてくれた。ＢＧＭだってかかっていたんだ。ほんとだよ。 テレビやソファ付きのお部屋もあったんだけど、それはぜいたくすぎるって、母さんが・・・。でもボクが泊まった一泊2000円程度の普通のお部屋で十分居心地良かったんだ。 日本に帰ってきてびっくりしたよ。庭付き個室が突然狭いケージになっちゃうんだもん。
When my Dad was transferred to England, I went with them. There I got into a train, a bus, or a taxi freely with my mum. When my dad and mum travelled on their own, I was left in the care of a boarding kennel nearby, where they took me for a walk 4 times a day, changed the blanket every day, and a girl brushed my coat telling me a bed-time story in my shelter with running space. I could enjoy BGM when I was in the shelter. That's true! There were a few rooms with a T.V. and a sofa, but my mother said it was too luxurious. Yet I felt very comfortable in the basic room for which Mum paid 11 pounds a day. I was shocked when I came back to Japan as I had to be in a little cage instead of a private shelter with running space.

		今日は遠くへ行ってきたんだよ。 I've been far today.
